Learn German

Learning the German language can seem complex for beginners, but also for people who want to take a language certification.

However, the École Suisse d'Allemand method offers excellent results, thanks to its renowned quality infrastructure and an exclusive method that places great emphasis on the spoken word.

Regardless of your level, you will be able to make rapid progress and aim for exams that are recognised in the academic or professional world.

To better understand the advantages of École Suisse d'Allemand, here is a presentation of the proposed method and how the different existing German courses work.

German, a language you can't afford to miss

If you are staying in a German-speaking country for a longer period of time, speaking German is a great help to make yourself easily understood and to communicate with as many people as possible. On a professional level, learning German is also a strong point. Being able to demonstrate an excellent level in this area is the best way to work in the business world or to carry out internships abroad. Finally, students wishing to enter a university in a German-speaking country will be required to prove their ability to understand German.

Our German courses tailored to your needs

The German courses offered at each of our schools in Switzerland come in several forms. You can follow:

  • Group classes, ranging from 2 to 5 students to practice listening comprehension and expression through various activities and online teaching materials.
  • Intensive courses are also offered, to make great progress in a short time, with flexible schedules.
  • Private or semi-private lessons to deepen certain concepts and improve in specific areas, also available online via Skype. The teaching is tailored to your purpose, whether it is general lessons, business-oriented courses or test/exam preparation.

Our method for learning German

Ecole Suisse d'Allemand has developed a unique method for learning German that is based on the process of learning a mother tongue: first, you will listen to words and phrases, repeat and then practice.

Interactive lessons

Interactive lessons help you learn vocabulary as well as pronunciation through everyday situations on a multimedia platform.

Once you've mastered the sounds, you'll study grammar. This learning process is universal. And it works! This is the reason why the method for learning German is guaranteed by contract with a 97% success rate.

Afterwards, you will have access to courses taught in three different ways. Here are the stages of your learning:

Digital Books

Once the interactive lessons are over, you will be redirected to the online exercises in the Digital Books. You will complete different exercises based on the vocabulary you are would have acquired during your lesson. Your teacher will give you feedback.

Encounters

"Encounter" is the term that the Switzerland School of German uses to name the course with a teacher. These courses of 3 to 5 participants (of the same level) will help you to get comfortable in the practice of the language.

This course is taught by a native German teacher who can help you progress in pronunciation. Once the "Encounter" is over, you will have the opportunity to access the next interactive lesson.

Workshops and Social Clubs

The Workshops target specific areas such as grammar, conversation, and business German, allowing them to consolidate the concepts acquired. Even though they are optional, it is recommended that you make one per unit for your progress.

The Social Clubs offer immersion in German through everyday situations in a friendly atmosphere. Students can participate in all the Workshops of their level and join the Switzerland School of German online community
